Primary School Teacher - Lower KS2

A large inner city Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced KS2 Teacher to cover a maternity absence from January to July 2008. The successful candidate will be responsible for either a Year 3 or Year 4 class (year group is yet to be determined).

Applicants ideally must be UK trained with a minimum of two years teaching experience. Applications from overseas trained teachers who have had at least two to three years experience in the UK are also welcomed.

As the school is very multi cultural, catering for pupils from diverse social backgrounds previous experience of working in an inner city environment would be an advantage. Effective classroom management skills and the ability to provide for a wide range of learning needs are essential. The post holder will benefit from planning collaboratively with the parallel class teacher and will have Classroom Assistant support.
