Temporary Housing Project Worker Full-time Three months minimum contract (subject to satisfactory performance)
This is an interesting post, combining generic housing management duties with more specialist project management work. Mornings will be spent working in a housing scheme in South East London. This is a hostel type housing scheme for around 25 single men and women.
The scheme is preparing for closure and the post involves providing housing advice, liasing with the Local Authority and other social housing providers, and assisting residents to find alternative housing.
There is also the day to day management of the scheme - dealing with rent and HB issues, reporting repairs, liasing with contractors and so on.
Afternoons will be spent as a generic Housing Officer managing a patch of properties in South East London.
This involves the full range of housing management duties including responding to complaints of anti-social behaviour, rent arrears work, lettings work and so on. A car is essential for this post and a car allowance is paid.
