Relationship Manager


Director Relationship Manager Western Europe Team
The client
is one of the largest financial institutions in the world and one of North
Americas largest retail brokerage operations. As part of their continuing
rapid growth they are now looking to add additional resources to their London
based operation. 


The main
function will be to generate new business opportunities to reach required
revenue targets and manage, support and develop existing correspondent bank
relationships with a focus on tier 2/3 clients.

MAIN DUTIES


Generate
sales opportunities with new and current clients, whilst maintaining and
developing existing tier 2/3 (est. up to $200M revenue p/a) correspondent bank
relationships.
Leading and co-ordinating meetings with select clients including service
reviews and business development discussions. Business travel as required.
Full meeting follow up with presentation of proposals as required.
Contribute to and / or influence unit revenue generation and profitability
including managing capital / risk. Work to minimize expenses.
Build lasting, influential, consultative client relationships with key
decision-makers of assigned relationships.
Assist in developing / executing business development (sales) plan for
assigned clients.
Develop in-depth knowledge of payment, cheque, trade services and
solutions-based selling.
Complete internal credit process, including annual and sporadic credit
reviews.
Limited financial analysis of the market, industry sector and individual
banks.
Liaise with operations, CSU and product specialist to ensure superior
implementation of new business and resolution of all client issues / concerns.
Completion of KYC and AML requirements for all customers.
Accompany Relationship Manager to meet some clients and attend industry
events.
Assist with completion of large RFP RFI responses for tier 1 clients
with team of globally based personnel.
Address queries from customers and general account issues and some CSU
issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree
from established, well known university.
Previous experience with financial institution client management / marketing
presentations/conducting customer meetings and business development.
At least 3 years of solid experience in the industry.
Solid understanding of correspondent banking treasury and trade services.
Proven track record of correspondent banking treasury services sales.
Appropriate financial risk analysis skills
Strong initiative and ability to work both in a team and independently, with
a 'can do attitude.
Strong communication skills a must; both written and verbal.
Ability to learn quickly in a busy, fast moving environment.
Strong, proven references.
